In this video for Pro Tools Expert, Technical Editor James Ivey shows you how to use the Universal Audio Apollo interfaces as hardware effects processors for use with your analogue mixing console.

James shows you how to configure the Apollo console to route signals in and out of the hardware and how to make adjustments to the console to get a greater number of Cue Sends to enable yes more dedicated I/O from in this case his Apollo 16.  

He then goes on to demonstrate how to configure the patch bay to route audio into and out of the Apollo 16. 

Finally, James demonstrates some of the reverb and plate effects he has chosen using the snare drum track from a recent recording session.
