Event - WAMCon Women's Immersive Recording Conference In Boston

The Women's Audio Mission are running WAMCon 2017 hosted by iZotope on November 3rd and 4th 2017 in Boston. WAMCon is an interactive recording arts conference for women (transgender and cisgender; non-binary and gender non-conforming individuals are welcome).

At WAMCon you will learn to record, mix, produce and master from the best in the business featuring immersive workshops with top women music producers, engineers, and podcast professionals like Susan Rogers (Prince), Leanne Ungar (Leonard Cohen), Chiquita Paschal (Gimlet Media) and more!

The Future of Podcasting Panel + Mixer - Limited Space

On Friday November 3rd 2017 from 6pm to 9pm at the PRX Podcast Garage, as part of WAMCon there will be a panel looking at the future of podcasting, but only the first 50 women to register for WAMCon will be able to attend.

The panel will be made up of podcasting pros Chiquita Paschal (Gimlet Media), Cynthia Graber (GastroPod), Amory Sivertson (WBUR) with moderator Kerri Hoffman (CEO of PRX) to discuss the future of podcasting, followed by a networking reception. 

Main Recording Arts Conference

This will be a full day at the iZotope Headquarters from 10am to 8pm on November 4th there will be a full day of interactive recording sessions that follow the live recording of Lady Pills from tracking through mixing and mastering. Participatory sessions led by award-winning women producers and engineers – Susan Rogers (Prince), Leanne Ungar (Laurie Angerson, Leonard Cohen), Sarah Register (Andrew WK, Lee Scratch Perry), Laura Escudé (Alluxe), and Erin Barra (Berklee/Ableton). Lunch included.

You can get tickets from the special Women's Audio Mission Eventbrite page, but hurry, only the first 50 women will be able to go to the Podcasting Panel event.
