The team at Antelope Audio are very pleased to announce a new interface in their line-up, the all new Discrete 8. The Discrete 8 microphone pre-amp interface is said to bring a new level of sonic quality and power to home studios and mobile recording engineers. Discrete 8 comes with 8 console grade 6-transistor discrete preamps with a quoted 121dB of dynamic range in its converters and Antelopes legendary clocking technology.

One of the new features to grace the Discrete 8 is a mic-pre modelling meaning one can turn the already classy sounding Discrete 8 mic pres into classic units via the valve, transformer and FET based circuitry in real-time.

As with all of the latest Antelope interfaces you get stunning sounding FPGA real-time effects including models of BAE, Grove Hill, Gyraf Audio and Lang classics to use in the new Easy Panel or in a DAW.

Discrete 8 is of course designed to work with any microphone however, it really comes into its own when teamed up with Antelopes new Edge and Verge mics.  Edge & Verge were designed to match the Discrete 8 preamp architecture.

The Discrete 8 model like all the Antelope interfaces is far from lacking when it comes to connectivity but for those who need less, then the new Discrete 4 also announced today could be the answer. With just 4 of the new console style mic pres and far less in the I/O department and with packages starting at just $1595 for a bundle of a Discrete 4 and an Edge microphone this is going to be a very popular package.
