Presonus Announce New Interfaces At NAMM 2017

Presonus have announced a range of new products at NAMM 2017 including two new interfaces in the Studio range, the Studio 26 and Studio 68 USB 2 interfaces with up to 192KHz sample rate support.

Presonus Studio 26

Presonus are pitching this one as great for podcasters, live streaming, DJs, and musicians on the road or in the studio.

The Studio 26 2x4 USB 2.0 bus-powered audio/MIDI interface can record up to 24-bit, 192 kHz audio and is fitted with the PreSonus XMAX-L solid-state preamps and high-end converters and the Studio 26 comes with the PreSonus Studio One Artist DAW software for Mac and Windows.

The Studio 26 features two front-panel combo mic and switchable line/instrument inputs with +48V phantom power for condenser mics. In addition to L/R main outputs, there are two balanced line outputs for monitor mixing or speaker switching, and LED meters indicate input and output levels. MIDI I/O enables connection to a keyboard, sound module, or control surface.

Presonus Studio 68

Presonus tell us that this one is an excellent choice for producers and musicians working in small studios.

The Studio 68 is equipped with four XMAX Class A preamps, high-end converters, and cue mix monitoring with what Presonus describe as "an ear-bleedingly loud headphone amp" and like its smaller brother the Studio 68 comes with the PreSonus Studio One Artist DAW software for Mac and Windows.

The Studio 68 features two front-panel combo mic and switchable line/instrument inputs and two mic/line inputs with +48V phantom power for condenser mics, In addition to L/R main outputs with front-panel level controls, there are two balanced line outputs for monitor mixing or speaker switching plus stereo S/PDIF digital I/O. MIDI I/O enables connection to a keyboard, sound module, or control surface.

Other Presonus Releases

Presonus say that the new StudioLive 16 fits in a standard 19-inch rack and has all the power of the StudioLive 32 in a smaller footprint. The StudioLive 16 boasts 16 physical analog input channels, with 8 XLR microphone inputs and 8 combo mic/line inputs, the new console is identical to the StudioLive 32 under the hood, providing 32 internal channels and all of them can be addressed digitally via AVB or USB.

Presonus have now added a little brother to the ULT family that they say won't break the bank or your back. The ULT10 is a 1,300W 2-way, bi-amped workhorse loudspeaker for front-of-house, stage monitor, or mobile DJ use. This versatility is due in part to the proprietary Pivot X110 horn; rotatable to control the dispersion pattern to best suit your application.
