In this free tutorial video by Alex Solano of InMusic Brands, Alex shows you (As part of his Mix Tip Tuesday sessions) two methods of creating a delay throw in a vocal track. Using a Rap style song Alex demonstrates the Air Dynamic Delay which comes free as part of Pro Tools to show effective, yet simple delay techniques. He also demonstrates a more manual form of delay control using the Soundtoys EchoBoy plug-in.  Using a delay is one thing, but what Alex shows really well here is the use of some other key processes around the delay to get the maximum kick and clarity to the vocal and the delay effect.
