Tovusound are releasing Edward Extended and Edward Ultimate today. Edward Extended is the extended version of the current instrument with more content, new design and new features. Edward Ultimate is the complete new and even bigger version of Edward and includes new content by the great Foley Artist Lara Dale (known for “The Expendables) and brings even more ways to perform natural Foley Artist footsteps inside the Native Instruments Kontakt engine.

New features include the ability to mix two patches together inside one window, as well as a new Live Performance, using the Pitch and Mod-wheel, making Edward Ultimate a much more powerful tool.

Features & Changes In The New Versions Of Edward

• One Window Workflow: The new Edwards are designed to be one pages instruments for an easier and faster workflow. The main page includes all functions of the instrument. Don’t waste time with switching through menus and pages. All parameters are accessible directly.
• Help included: A Inside Instrument Help Desk will assist you to start without touching the manual.
• Velocity checkbox: Sample volume is controlled by how hard notes are played on the keyboard.
• Oneshot checkbox: Use to toggle oneshot mode, samples are only played as long as the note is play
• Sample delay slider: You can use this on note delay slider to simulate more people or adjust different sounds relative together.
• Sample randomization slider: Select and lock the type of randomization.
  • Lock: When pressing Start/Play inside your DAW, Edward will start playing from selected Sample.
  • Unlock: Edward will play all available samples in row.
• Two Fingers Play: Use two fingers to trigger the same performance.
• NI - Komplete Kontrol Support: You don't loose the path and you can see key colors and labels on any NI - Komplete Kontrol Device.

Edward Ultimate Only Features

• Two Decks Window: Two decks give a huge advantage while mixing sounds together or changing surfaces.
• Pitch-Wheel Perform: Use the pitch wheel to play common variations while performing. Use top and bottom menus to select a common performance to be played when the pitch wheel is used.
• Mod-Wheel Perform: Use the modulation wheel to: Mix - crossfades between deck A&B
  • Add: adds deck A to deck B
  • Switch: switches between deck A & deck B for real time surface changes.

Edward Extended Content

• The Original content for Edward has been slightly re-edited and re-mastered to fit correctly into the new engine.
• High frequencies get a bit more smoothing and the button has become a bit more round to fit better into the mix.
• There are more variations of surfaces are available now.
