Nugen Audio To Release AAX DSP Version Of Their VisLM 2 Loudness Meter

Whilst Mike Aiton and I were updating plug-ins, Mike Aiton spotted that if he clicked on the Native tab on his VisLM2 plug-in, it offered the opportunity to change to DSP which was strange because we weren't aware that it was available as an AAX DSP plug-in.

A quick chat to the team at Nugen Audio was met with "Ah yes, well spotted, we were planning to announce it in a week or so, its a fair cop, we have been rumbled".

So we can exclusively announce that we have another AAX DSP plug-in and we can reveal that it will need a new iLok asset for the AAX DSP version.

Existing VisLM-H2 users are eligible to upgrade to the DSP version for $99, and new users will be able to choose between the VisLM-H2 and the VisLM-H2 DSP version which are now available at $449 and $549, respectively.

This is especially useful for those of us with AAX DSP systems because there is one less reason to have to go out to a Native plug-in on our stems and mix buss tracks.  Take a look at Mike Aiton's metering screen and spot the odd one out....

Yep, the only native plug-in is the PPMulator from Zplane. So at least on the metering front we are nearly there.

On other news from Nugen Audio, we can tell you that a new feature is coming to their award winning Halo Upmix plug-in. We are sworn to secrecy as to what it is, so all I can say is we suggested it!
