Avid Release An Update Of The App Manger Ready For The Bundled Plug-ins In Upgrade/Support Plans

Having got back from IBC 2015, I booted my Pro Tools system this morning ready to edit this week's podcast, and the Avid Application Manager advised me that there was an update available so I clicked on it and there was one item that needed to be updated and that was the Application Manager itself. It says...

Application Manager 2.4.3 now supports the accompanying software included with active Subscriptions and Upgrade/Support plans. When these new plug-ins are available they will be shown in the Apps Tab.

So this would seem to be the next stage in providing the 'rental' plug-ins that Avid announced in their recent live webinar, where users with an active upgrade/support plan get plug-ins bundled in, as long the upgrade/support plan. So for example for HD users,  the Pro Series as well as Revibe 11, Reverb One and Space.

Hopefully it won't be too long before users, with current upgrade/support plans, will start to see these bundled 'rental' plug-ins appearing in accounts. So if have a current plan it would be worth considering updating the App Manager at an appropriate point.
