Runners Up Of the Nugen Audio Loudness Toolkit Competition

Last month we ran a competition offering 5 Nugen Audio Loudness Toolkit 2 and also 5 runners up who could select one plug-in from the Loudness Toolkit 2. We will be announcing the winners in the next couple of days but for now here are the 5 lucky people who have won a plug-in from the Nugen Audio Loudness Toolkit 2  bundle.

Chingas Kemps - Winner Of A VisLM2

Born and raised in the suburbs of New Jersey,  I've loved and had a passion for music since day one.  I have been engineering audio since I was 12 and opened my first studio, Death Is Waiting Studios in 2009.  In early 2015 I decided to quit all work that had nothing to do with music and follow my dreams with both feet first.  In 2015 I relocated my Studio to Nashville and continue to learn and grow my skills as we speak.  I plan on using the VisLM-2 to better prepare my mixes for mastering and gain a deeper understanding of my mixes.

Justin Turnbull - Winner Of An ISL2

I spent a number of years playing bass in original and cover bands when I was younger. With the technology available to users now, I'm looking to put some time into producing some of my own material - songwriting and advertising. I chose ISL2 as my preferred plugin because it seems to be up to date with current mastering norms and formats. This seems a pretty important aspect of production nowadays and should prove a real winner for people like me who are more musical than technical. Really excited to put it to use.

Simon Hildenbrand - Winner Of An ISL2

I am a recording and mixing engineer from Düsseldorf, Germany. I don't own a studio by myself, but work most of the time at Zimmerli Sounds on Jazz and Pop records. By the way, the studio was designed by your fellow-countryman John Flynn. Although R128 isn't that important in music mixing, the Nugen Audio ISL 2 will be very helpful to ensure that my mixes absolutely won't clip, especially when encoding to lossy formats like MP3 or AAC. Thank you Pro Tools Expert and thank you Nugen Audio!

Steve Thompson - Winner Of An ISL2

I write and record music in my home studio on a Windows PC and occasionally remote recordings of my bands with a MacBook Pro.  I might be a bit of a DAW-hopper, working with Pro Tools 12 and 2 or 3 others as frequently. This might be due to my IT background,  I have been tinkering at that for some time as well :) I am looking forward to working with the ISL2, I think it will help to provide a certain cohesiveness to my mixes going forward!

Christian Linder - Winner Of A VisLM2

I currently work as freelance Boom Op/Sound mixer and Dubbing Mixer, besides my day job as a Logistics Coordinator (hopefully one day full time audio), based in Frankfurt a.M., Germany. I also do field recordings and sound design for short films. Most of my projects to date are mixes for web video, that didn't have a requirement for specific loudness targets. Since I'm not yet at the point were I can mix in a proper room, a visual tool like the VisLM is very vital to me. I'm really happy, that I can now practice loudness compliant mixing, using the Nugen VisLM and be ready to meet the specs when the first 'tv gig' arrives. Thanks to Nugen and PTE for this!
