Back in 2004, musician and audio enthusiast Trevor Coley pursued his dream to create a range of microphones that delivered professional quality results at a truly affordable price. They began by drawing up designs for new and innovative looking microphones that would stand out from the crowd.

The company, Sontronics was launched at the NAMM show in 2005 with a small range of studio mics. Since then their product lines have grown to include studio condensers, valve mics, ribbon mics, drums, guitar and hand held microphones as well as the 100% British designed and made Sonora II mic pre-amp.
