In another video from community member Paul Maunder, this video covers two very useful editing features available in Pro Tools HD: Replace Clip and Fit To Selection. Replace clip allows for one or multiple instances of a clip on the timeline to be replaced with an alternative clip from the Clip List. This can be useful when replacing sound effects in post production or when replacing sequenced percussion.

Fit To Selection allows a clip from the clip list to be dragged onto an existing edit selection and the clip will be time compressed or expanded to fit the selection.

Replace Clip

Select clip on timeline and Command + Shift drag new clip from clip list.

Fit To Selection

Make an edit selection, hold down Command + Option and drag the new clip from clip list to expand or compress the clip to the selected duration.
