Exponential Audio Release New Version Of Surround Plug-ins With 3D Linking

Our friends at Exponential Audio have released a new version of their excellent Phoenixverb and R2 surround plug-ins. Along with numerous improvements, this release also includes Exponential Audio’s unique new 3DLink technology.

Exponential Audio 3DLink Technology

3DLink supports new mixing formats with height channels such as Dolby Atmos and Auro 3D, and creates a natural, efficient reverb with channel counts up to 14.1.  No special drivers are required, and all you need is a workstation that supports low and high busses.  For more information on 3DLink, visit the 3D page on the Exponential Audio site.

During my recent visit to the home of Auro 3D as you can see from the screenshot at the top, I got a chance to play with and experience my beloved Exponential Audio reverbs and steer audio around their Aurotorium and hear how the linking in the Exponential Audio plug-ins means that the reverbs propogate correctly. We are planning to bring you a whole range of videos about Auro 3D and how to work with it in Pro Tools environment in the coming weeks.

Exponential Supports Even More DAWs

Version 1.1.0 of the PhoenixVerb Surround and R2 Surround support new workstations, including;

Other Improvements

There are performance and workflow improvements all around, along with plenty of new presets. Version 1.1.0 is free to all licensed users and may be downloaded.
