Our friends at FabFilter have announced that on August 28th 2014 they will release a new version of their Pro Q plug-in. There is nothing on their web site yet but there is this video from Dan Worrall which goes into detail to cover the new features including 2 new band filter shapes, spectrum grab, pictured above, where you can grab a peak in the spectrum analysis display and tame it with an eq setting. 

Then there is slope control for all filter types up to a whooping 96dB per octave for surgical processing as well as a natural phase processing mode, a gain/Q linking mode and automatic gain matching.

The Pro-Q is a brilliant plug-in but this looks amazing. Thanks FabFilter.
