We often get asked at Pro Tools Expert which pre-amp is better between the Audient ASP880 and the Universal Audio 4-710D. Our answer is that they are different, in fact in many ways. For example the UA 4-710D includes 4 compressors and 3 styles of sound, whereas the Audient includes 2 Channels of Class-A Discrete JFET D.I instrument inputs and a variable filter, their pricing differs too.

However here is an electric guitar recorded through both pre-amps, one of them is the Audient ASP880 , one is the transistor stage of the 4-710D, one the tube stage and one the blend of both from the 4-710D.
