Community Tip - Suggestion When Tuning Vocals With Melodyne

With the support of iLok, more tips & tricks from the community. Here is one from Simeon Clark…

I use Melodyne a lot for tuning vocals. When tuning a lot of tracks, you can easily lose perspective of what is in tune and can end up doing more damage than good, usually by slicing up notes too much.

A way round this (would be to get some good takes but that is not always possible!) I found was by putting a guitar tuner plugin after Melodyne. I like the one by Waves, it’s big and very accurate. It’s simple and I’ve found it useful.
