It is fairly simple to do but I find it invaluable in the studio. Create a sine wave using the Signal Generator plug-in, routed to no output which is used to key a sidechain compressor that is on a microphone that is itself routed to the monitor aux(es) that massively compresses the mic when playback starts, basically muting it.
