Yesterday Apple dropped a huge new update to Logic Pro, Logic Pro 10.2, you can read more about it on Logic Pro Expert. Suffice to say Apple demonstrated what taking care of a user base looks like, Logic Pro 10.2 has got a lot of new features as well as now including Alchemy, a synth that previously cost more than a copy of Logic, all of this free to their existing users or just $199 for new purchasers. We are not suggesting anyone should change their DAW but in terms of a value proposition Avid should take note.

Even better MainStage 3 now includes the Alchemy synth and costs $30!
