Community Tip - Using Apollo Console Virtual Routing For Logic VIs

With the support of iLok, more tips & tricks from the community. Here is one from Jared Steinfeld…

I had sent you a tip about using Apollo Console’s virtual routers to use UAD plugins in Pro Tools 11. You can use the virtual inputs/outputs to get software instruments from Logic X to Pro Tools 11 in a similar manner as your Soundflower technique. I simply set up an instrument in Logic Pro X and have it sent out of one of the Console virtual outputs. In Pro Tools 11, you then make a audio track with the Console virtual input selected.  You can then record the software instrument as audio in Pro Tools (I was actually playing the Logic instruments “live” into Pro Tools)… I haven’t tried your sync method yet, but that is next on my list of to-do’s. Thanks again for all of your tips and tricks. I really enjoy the blog and podcast.
