Mike Thorne
Mike Thorne has been playing, recording and mixing music professionally for over 23 years, including the last 12 years with a focus on mastering audio.
He works out of his studio, Rimshot, in the UK and is one third of Brik Hit House, a production company he formed with cellist Jess Cox and composer James Pickering.
Mike has worked as a mastering engineer for artists including The Brand New Heavies, KT Tunstall, Matt Berry, Procol Harum, André Heller, Fay Hallam, Corduroy, Magnus Carlson, Ian Siegal, Leroy Hutson, Martin Freeman, Jagz Kooner, Eddie Piller, Mother Earth and labels including Sony Records, Universal Music Group, PIAS, Acid Jazz Records.
Recent film work has included recording and mixing the 5.1 orchestral score for Henry Blake’s BFI-distributed film ‘County Lines’.
